Pablo Neruda said that "laughter is the language of the soul".   Perhaps that explains why laughter fills me (all of us) with simple joy--and fulfills us all on a deeper level too. 

of course, soulful eyes speak volumes too...

Some random happiness to share - the first few are with my new Canon 35 mm 1.4L lens...dang I love me an amazing prime! This lens is amazingly sharp and the bokeh is dreamy creamy...check it out!

Isn't She Lovely...

12 day old Little Missy here had me wrapped around her finger at first goo! So alert from the start, she was more than ready and willing to participate in her first modelling (!) session with me. A breeze to photograph, and her gorgeous mama was too! (Man I wish I looked that good just after my first child was born!). Congrats on your beautiful daughter, B & C, she's a dream!

Poetry in Motion

I think about this quote by Emerson when shooting--esp. shooting women:
"Beauty without expression is boring."

And aim to photograph with my own corollary:
"Beauty with poetic expression is photographer's nirvana."
